Pole and Aerial Small Group Fitness Studio

Aerial Hammock (Mixed Levels)

This class is taught by:

Stephanie Beaton

Steph began her aerial training in 2015 after trying aerial yoga for the first time and immediately getting hooked. In 2016 she was offered a position as an aerial hammock instructor and jumped on the chance and began her instructor training. In addition to hammock she has trained in aerial silks, lyra and pole and is always itching to try more. As a graduate of the Music Theatre Performance program at St. Clair College she has been working on incorporating her performance training to the fitness side that she began with and has been seen at Brass Butterflies as a performer in multiple showcases and as co-director for the aerial troupe in the studio's 2017 summer showcase. As an instructor and performer she loves to explore and create with students and friends, no matter how silly the process may be!
Aerial hammock offers a new way to train and condition your body while giving you the choice to stay lower to the ground. During class you'll learn different flips, inversions and drops while moving at your own pace. Students of all levels are welcome!

Students should wear bottoms that are at least knee length with no zippers, and no jewellery (rings/bracelets). Sleeves are not required, but may be preferred to avoid friction burns. Shoes are not required for this class. Make up is also discouraged as depending on certain moves, the hammocks can get dirty quickly if students wearing make up and accidentally rub their faces on the material.
