Pole and Aerial Small Group Fitness Studio

Instructor for this class to be announced.

TBA TBA instructs the following:
  • Advanced Aerial Hoop (Lyra)
  • Moving up from Intermediate Hoop, this class focuses on more advanced tricks requiring a greater level of strength and technique, as well as stylization and the basics of performance on hoop.

To join this class, students should have completed the Brass Butterflies Intermediate 2 Hoop checklist which includes (but is not limited to) Tofu Hooks (both sides), multiple connected pullovers, single knee hangs for 20 seconds.

  • Youth Aerials (Ages 12-15)
  • Is your preteen or teen enchanted with the beautiful acts they’ve seen performed in Cirque du Soleil? Now they can try aerial silks and aerial hoop for themselves. Aerials are a great way for youth to build strength, coordination, and confidence.

Basic technique and skills will be taught on both apparatus (silks and hoop). Class sizes will be kept small (a maximum of 6 students to one instructor), and students will progress at their own speed and comfort level.

  • Advanced Aerial Silks
  • Moving up and building on the skills and strength built in Intermediate Silks, students will work on more intricate wraps, sequences and drops.  Students should have completed the Intermediate 2 test at Brass Butterflies before entering Advanced Silks which includes (but is not limited to) being comfortable with Hip Key in the air (straight legs) and adding and removing waist wraps, Ginger on both sides, multiple straddle inversions in the air, and holding hollow-body in straight arm hang for 10 seconds then pulling up to bent arm hang for 10 seconds.
