This special Brass Butterflies session ends with a burlesque group performance at the Brass Butterflies Halloween Showcase and Party to be held in the Brass Butterflies studio the evening of Friday, October 26, 2018.

Anybody is welcome to join. No dance experience required.

By registering for this session you are committing to attending all sessions and practices, learning the choreography and performing in the showcase. It is very important for the experience of everyone in the troupe that you commit to attending all sessions. If you miss more than one of the weekly sessions (due to illness or emergency), you may be asked to drop out of the troupe, without refund, or practice on your own time to catch up, on a case-by-case basis. There will be a dress rehearsal the week before the showcase and there may also be additional supplemental rehearsals or practice sessions scheduled at the instructor's discretion, as agreed upon by all participants. These are included in the session fee. No refunds for withdrawing after the first meeting.

PLEASE NOTE: Troupe participants will be expected to purchase supplies to make their own costumes for the performance as well as appropriate shoes (details to be given during the session). While every effort will be made to keep costume costs affordable, it could cost $50-100+. This cost is NOT included in the troupe fee and should be budgeted for when deciding to join the troupe.

The cost to join the troupe is:

$199 + HST for students not also enrolled in one or more other curriculum classes at Brass Butterflies during the September/October session or

$149 + HST for 8-week session students who are enrolled in one or more curriculum class during the September/October session, or

$99 + HST for Chrysalis and Monarch members. Monarch members may pay once and attend as many troupes as they like (there are also pole, aerial and acro yoga troupes running this year).

Your enrolment also gains you free access to special posted "Showcase Performers Only" practice times throughout the the 8 week period leading up to the showcase.

  • Just Dance
  • “Dance is the hidden language of the soul of the body.” ~ Martha GrahamIn this class, you don’t need to have any dance experience, just the willingness to move your body and have fun. Each class will be a little different. One day you might learn choreography from a famous pop video, next time maybe something with a hip hop flavour, or something a little jazzy. Guaranteed you’ll move, and sweat and laugh and have fun.
