Pole Dancing, Fitness Class Instructor

I began my pole dancing journey in January 2014 as the Studio Assistant.  I don't come from a dance background.  I grew up playing competitive ringette and lacrosse as well as recreational hockey.  So, needless to say, pole dancing hasn't come naturally for me.  It certainly has its challenges but has been the most rewarding thing I've ever done. In March 2014 I performed along side the owner, Heather, to a very sexy chair routine at our grand opening showcase. It brought me completely out of my comfort zone and was such a rush that since then I've performed in all of our studio showcases as well as competed in The Great White North Pole Competition in June 2015.  In April 2015 my role in the studio changed from the Studio Assistant to Aradia Instructor.  It's such an honour to watch all of our students grow and find themselves in this sport and knowing that I've been apart of that process as well.

  • Rise and Pole
  • Are you an early riser?  Do you like to get your workout in before you go to work?  This class is for you!  This class will feature a combination of Pole Conditioning and flexibility work and time to work with the instructor on moves that you've learned in your curriculum classes.  It's a mix between Pole Condition and Sculpt and Pole Practice.  Please note that you will not be taught new curriculum moves in this class so it can not replace your curriculum class, however it could be used as a makeup class.  

  • Beginner Pole
  • In Beginner Pole we introduce progressively more intricate and strength intensive spins and holds on the poles.  As you build your strength we will prepare you to do basic inversions and climbing the pole along with even more dance, transition and floor moves to round out your pole repertoire.  Just a few of the featured moves in this class will be Chair Spin, Diamond Spin, Push-pull Holds, Windmill, Climb and Sit, Basic Inversion, Snake Dismount 

  • Advanced Pole
  • Students should now be comfortable with Extended Butterfly and will begin learning even more advanced variations on this beautiful move. Aerial Inversions, Shoulder Mount, Helicopter, Superman and Hip Holds, Cupid, Figurehead, Genevieve, Dove, Shooting Star and Half Jade are just a few of the moves you will learn in this level.
     

  • Advanced/Masters Pole
  • This class is ideal for those who have already taken Advanced Pole at least once, but students do not feel ready to move into Masters. Both levels of curriculum are welcome and will be taught in this class and students will be encouraged to work at their own level.

  • Intro to Pole (NEW 8-Week Program)
  • New to Pole Dancing?  This is where to start! Our introductory level will give you to the perfect foundation of basic pole conditioning, floor work, beginner holds and spins to get you started. These classes are challenging, lively and fun. No previous pole dancing experience required!

    What to Expect:
    In the Intro to Pole level of our Pole Dancing curriculum, you will begin each lesson with a warm up and some fun and sexy floor work designed to make for great dance and transition elements in your pole routines but also to build your strength for the pole work. You'll then spend the rest of each class learning the foundations of movement on and around the pole starting from walking around the pole to some basic strength and spin moves. You'll finish off each class by "dancing it out" where your instructor will lead you through a mini routine on the pole.
